Based on data from the Command Post (Posko) for the Emergency Management of the Mount Semeru Eruption in East Java province, as of Saturday (12/25/2021), 54 people died, while 6 residents were declared missing. Meanwhile, the total damaged houses reached 1,027 units. Then, the total number of displaced residents amounted to 9,417 people spread over 402 points. The concentration of refugees is concentrated in 3 sub-districts, namely in Pasirian 15 points 1,657 people, Candipuro 22 points 3,897 people and Pronojiwo 7 points 1,136 people.

This eruption attracted the attention of many people and humanitarian agencies. In addition to local humanitarian agencies, international humanitarian agencies are also paying attention to this disaster. The Hayir Yolu Foundation collaborated with Qudwah Indonesia as an active humanitarian agency to contribute to alleviating grief and reducing the burden of victims by building temporary shelters in Sumber Wuluh Village.
