On February 25, 1994, the Jewish settler, Baruch Goldstein, Sneaked the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, and opened fire at worshipers at dawn prayers on Friday, killing 29 Palestinians martyrs and wounding 125 others.

As a result of the massacre, confrontations erupted with the Israeli army in all Palestinian cities and towns, resulting in the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians.

The Israeli authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque and formed an Israeli committee, which recommended dividing the Islamic mosque between Jews and Muslims, as the Jews seized about 63% of the mosque and turned it into a synagogue.

For the 28th year in a row, the Palestinians and the Islamic world commemorate the painful memory.

Israel continues violations of the mosque to the present day, through excavations in the vicinity and the bottom of the mosque, which the Palestinians say is aimed at controlling the mosque completely.
