Every year June 20 is celebrated as World Refugee Day.

The issue of Palestinian refugees is one of the most important issues in the modern era.

According to official Palestinian statistics, 41% of the population of the Palestinian National Authority (West Bank and Gaza) are refugees.

Refugees make up nearly half of the world’s Palestine, numbering around 13 million.

Data shows that about 800,000 Palestinians were driven from their villages and towns out of the 1.4 million Palestinians who lived in historic Palestine in 1948 in 1,300 Palestinian villages and towns.

This estimate represents the minimum number of Palestinian refugees, given that there are refugees who are not registered with UNRWA; This number does not include those who fled after 1949, even before the June 1967 war, and those who left or were deported in 1967, with a background in war, and who were not originally refugees.
